Camelard College — The Honor Society for Magicians
The Camelard College of Conjuring of Chemmis is the world's only international Honor Society for accomplished women and men magicians, as well as those in the Allied Magical Arts. The CCCC Honor Society takes the form of an educational institution. Camelard College is both mythical and mundane and operates under its official Injunction — Honor, Delight, Instruction.
Honor, Delight, Instruction
The injunction of Honor means that the College confers distinction and recognition upon those worthy Magicians and Allied Performers who have labored in the field of magic and who have brought integrity and acclaim to the Art. The injunction of Delight means that the College believes in the "serious fun" and the "fun seriousness" of what it does which is to confer honor upon the worthy. The injunction of Instruction means that the College encourages the practice of passing on the secret details of the Magical Arts to the next generation.
Mythical and Mundane
The mythical Camelard College is an otherworldly school of magical delight, but the mundane (physical) College consists of an actual faculty of Magicians that includes officers in magical organizations, professional magicians, dedicated magic hobbyists, and young magicians (under 18) who are learning The Art. These young magicians are named Fellows of the College. Currently, the best-known Fellow of the College is Fellow Derek McKee.
Camelard College Faculty and Fellows can be found throughout the world. Included among the Faculty are Professors Just Alan, Bev Bergeron, John Calvert, Tammy Calvert, James Canaday, Rick Carruth, Mandy Davis, Paul Green, Ed Hurtubis, Maria Ibenez, Jeff McBride, Richard Nakata, Paul Noffsinger, Tim Pendergast, Bill Pitts, Ruth Pitts, Bob Sammons, Mark Weidhaas, and many, many other accomplished and distinguished hobbyist and professional magicians, as well as magical historians, writers, and collectors, including those in the Magic Allied Arts such as the internationally acclaimed performance artist, Full Professor Leland Faulkner.

The Mythology of the CCCC
The Coat of Arms of the College
Part of the Delight of the College is in its mythology. Camelard College exists in the world of magical delight where it is affiliated with the Avalon Institute of Magic in Albion and with the original Bogmere School of Wizardry of Wales. Near Stonehenge, Bogmere has been made famous under another name in a series of popular novels about a young magician with a peculiar mark on his forehead. While "Camelard" is a variant spelling of "Camelot," Camelard College itself is located in Chemmis, Egypt. You don't go to Chemmis to find the College, the College comes to you and your audience every time you perform.
Also, all Camelard College faculty members are personal friends of Camelard Professors Merlin, Gandalf, and Albus Dumbledore, as well as select famous and friendly wizards who live in the many magical lands of delight, including the land of Chemmis where Camelard is established. Camelard College Faculty status can be mentioned during performance as a part of the magical persona, especially during shows for youngsters who may already have read about famous schools of magic and wizardry. Faculty Members of Camelard College have the privilege of using all or part of the Magic Maxim of the College to perform their wonders: Em Conspiciendus Miraculum!
The College is listed in the MagicPedia of Genii Magazine.

The Mundane CCCC
In the mundane world (which is the doorway to the World of Magical Delight), Camelard College has specific goals for its Faculty and Student Body, as exemplified in its Injunction, "Honor, Delight, Instruction":
- CCCC enriches the magical persona of its members by granting lifetime Professorial positions on its Faculty and by granting the right to use its Magical Maxim in the public performance of conjuring. Thus, Faculty members may, in their magical persona, introduce themselves (or be introduced as) "Professor Name" and may speak all or part of the Magic Maxim in performing magic. Magicians under 18 are granted the title of Fellow.
- CCCC is the world's only Honor Society that lauds men and women magicians who are dedicated to the Performance Art of Magic; further, the CCCC is the only Honor Society that lauds those in the Allied Magical Arts. The several ranks from Fellow to Trustee constitute the honors conferred. Additionally, the College confers the honors of Beneficus Ars Magia and Trustee of the College. The Faculty appointments come with the necessary documents, and, in correct Honor Society tradition, holders of honors are entitled to wear Honor Cords. A requirement for Faculty and Fellow appointment is membership in one or more of the national/international magic societies (see the Application page). Note that Camelard College is an Honor Society, not an academic institution; the College does not grant academic degrees.
- CCCC encourages those of its Faculty who are so inclined to teach magic to the worthy interested (see Faculty Handbook information, below). The Professor, as Sage, hands on the precious Magical Tradition as a vital part of the life of the conjurer.
- CCCC offers a free service of email redirection which shows affiliation with the College. Thus, Faculty and Students may use anyname@camelardcollege.org .
